REGISTRATIONS (RSVP) due by Noon on 5/16
This year we will continue exploring the Hill Country by air and visit several local airstrips south, east and west of Llano including HR Ranch for lunch and target practice. This is going to be a great event, you will not want to miss it!
Tent camping under your wing on Llano's well-maintained grass runway is encouraged. We will have access to port-a-potties and the FBO throughout the weekend. Transportation to/from town will also be available for those wishing to reserve a hotel room or run into town for supplies.
Don't forget to bring your tie-downs, cameras and sun screen!

Arrival Day. Setup camp at Llano along the grass runway (KAQO).
Lunch: The early-bird tradition of going into town for lunch at Cooper's BBQ continues around 11:00 AM to beat the lunch rush (the locals get hungry!).
After lunch we will depart Llano and explore the local area from the air (route TBD).
Dinner: Back into town (Mexican food, home cooking, pizza, etc.) via the Maule group limo (Charlie Zinsmeyer's 5-ton army truck).
Fly-out Day! Depart Llano for Fredericksburg (T82) between 7:00 - 7:30 AM for breakfast at the Hangar Hotel Diner. It opens at 8 AM and we need to be there early to beat the crowd.
Briefing for the morning fly-out (10:00 AM): Depart from Fredericksburg (T82), and head east towards LBJ Ranch then continue east towards Lake Travis enjoying the sights with touch-n-gos and stops along our way to Burnet, TX (KBMQ) for fuel. After we fuel up, it is only a short hop over to HR Ranch for some shooting and lunch.
Full Stops: TBD, Burnet (Fuel & Bathroom Stop), HR Ranch.
Touch and Go: TBD
Lunch & Shoot-out at HR Ranch: We will fly in and have lunch (Buffalo wings, fries and drink) near the range before being briefed on the shooting rules so bring your weapons, ammo & ear muffs! Releases will be signed by all participants. We will also do an "ANVIL SHOOT" where everyone will have the opportunity to place their bet where the anvil will land ($5 per person), closest guess takes it all!
Briefing for the afternoon Fly-out: Depart HR Ranch and head northwest to pick up the Colorado River and follow it south towards Buchanan Lake. We will continue south for touch-n-gos and eventually intercept Sandy Creek riverbed for some off-airport fun (optional). We will follow Sandy Creek to the west with a full stop at Red Sands Ranch (1XS4) to let any stragglers catch up.
From there it is a short flight to Hopf Field (TS46) for dinner and raffle. Ground transportation will be available from KAQO to Hopf Field as well.
Full Stops: TBD + Kingsland, Sandy Creek riverbed, Red Sands, Hopf Field.
Touch and Go: TBD.
Dinner: Jeff and Kristi Hopf will host the group at their airstrip (Hopf Field TS46) just southwest of Llano for a delicious pork burger dinner and club raffle. We will take donations to help cover dinner.
Saturday night: Return to KAQO for bonfire, beverages and fellowship.
